Job Training Program
ASHHO Cultural Community Center is on a mission to feed, heal, educate, and celebrate our community through soul food, gatherings, and job training programs.
We’ve launched the second cohort of our Culinary & Hospitality Job Training Program—a paid, 12-week opportunity for participants to develop job readiness skills that support careers in the foodservice industry and pathways to entrepreneurship.
Participants in the program
Become part of a supportive, Trauma-Informed, and culturally-rooted learning community
Gain hands-on culinary, hospitality, and customer service experience
Build confidence, leadership, and life skills, supported by group coaching
Receive personalized mentorship from dedicated industry professionals.
About the program
Schedule: August 5 – October 24, 2025, four days a week, Tuesday–Friday, 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM with rotating Saturdays.
Where: ASHHO Cultural Community Center, 5757 Littlerock Rd SW #4, Tumwater, WA 98512
Who: Individuals 18+ ready to commit to their growth and career development. We actively seek a diverse applicant pool and strongly encourage applicants from marginalized communities to apply. For this cohort round, we are especially interested in applicants who are women, mothers, survivors, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, LGBTQ+ folks, and other historically underserved individuals.
Cost: FREE for participants + paid weekly stipend of up to $500 based on participation and attendence
We began reviewing applications on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, and reaching out to prospective participants for interviews. The application portal is now closed. Stay tuned for future Job Training Program opportunities.
